Summary:
"The Legend" portrays the life of 19th king of Koguryo - Damdeok, Jumong, The founder of Kogurya,
establishes Koguryo with his four gods: CHeong-ryong (God Dragon), Baek-ho (White Tiger), Joo-jak (Phoenix) and
Hyeon-mu (Black Serpent).As the time passes, the four Gods seclude themselves from society, yet the affluent and ambitious
Yeongaryo tires to arrogate military powers and appoints his son Yeonhogae as the King. He conspires with Dejangro, the leader
of Hwacheon Clan, to oppose Damdeok, stopping him from ascending the throne, The four gods learn that Damdeok is brave, benevolent
and decide to assist him to become "Gwanqqeto the great of Koguryo".
Story Begin:
This story happen from 2000 years ago.... There is a tribe that worshipped the tiger, they are known as Tiger Tribe.
Their are leader is known as Fire Priestess, whose position was passed down by generations. Each Fire Priestess was handed
with the power of fire by previous Fire Priestess. The Tiger Tribe used this power to rule the world. Among, the Fire Priestess
Kajin(Jia Zhen) had the greatest power. Countless people had died under the Tiger tribe's sword and KaJin's fire. After Seeing the
death and destruction of the land, Lord HwangWoong descended to earth. He chose a place under sacred tree of Tae Baek Mountain, to
build his country known as Sheng Shi. Lord HwangWoong brought forth three gods; the guardian of Cloud- Woon Sa, the guardian of Wind-
Poong Baek and The guardian of Rain- Woo Sa. In those days, the crops on the land were plentiful and the world was prosperous. That
nation was called Jooshin (Su Shen). The great nation that Lord HwanWoong has founded. The vast land that was populated
by the Baedal people.
Tiger tribe felt that their region over the world was stolen from them. They wanted to reclaim the land they have lost.
They started a war against Lord HwanWoong. Kajin murdered countless numbers of people, Lord HwanWoong's people decided to fight back.
In one of the fight, KaJin was severely wounded and was saved by HwanWoong. At that time, she felt Lord HwanWoong's absolute power
and could not fight against it... She fall in love at the first sight.. But she found out that HwanWoong love another woman, Sae-oh from
. Sae-oh was a brave female warrior from Bear Tribe. Lord HwanWoong take away Kajin's power over fire and encased it in a red orb;
named it as the Phoenix Heart. He give it to Sae-oh, want her to be the mother to his people. Soon Sae-oh was pregnant with Lord HwanWoong's baby...
Out of jeolousy, Kajin wanted to kill that woman and get back her own belonging... During the war, Sae-oh give birth to a baby boy but was kidnap
by Kajin.. In order to save her child, Sae-oh lose control of the phoenix power- release the black Phoenix which cause a dramatic
disasters to happen to the world.. To save the world, Lord HwanWoong force to kill his love, Sae-oh.. Kajin end her
life by jumping off the cliff...HwanWoong never fufill his mission to the earth.. he sealed the four gods, and waited for the next king to born, a star will proclaim his
birth and all those who await him will see.
The story continue.... the love between them will still remain....... Will they able to solve after the next birth after 2000 years .........
The story start when his father, Uhjiji took over the throne from his elder brother... Damdeok came into the palace when he is
10 years ago... King do have the power to protect him, therefore he cannot let himself to be seen- don let anyone know
that he is greater than them, he do not diclose neither his agile and courageous nor his wise and kind. Let them
think that you are a fool and disregard you.. And let them forget you.. He can neither go to school nor go out of the palace.
The only two friends he has was Yon Hogae and Kiha. Damdeok grew up together with Kiha, they eventually fall in love with each other.
But everything change... When King Uhjiji wanted to pass his throne to Damdeok... and reveal the hidden true by High Priestess.
Everything start because of the long traditional belief that passed down generations by generations of "King of Jooshin". People
in Great Koguryo waiting for "King of Jooshin" and waiting for "The One" who born under the star of Jooshin. The King finally
born on Seventeen years ago, Damdeok is the one who is the "King of Great Koguryo" and "Jooshin King" and he has the
power to unseal the Four sacred symbols (Four Guardians) came to life.
The girl, Kiha that he deeply fall in love with; she is the guradian of phoenix which is under Hwacheon clan to take over his country.
She was accused for killing King Uhjiji; she never clarify the truth. she killed High priestess to take over her position to control the whole country
even the whole world...as a gift to her baby (Damdeok's). Damdeok was deeply hurt and don believe someone he knew for so long.. Could do these things to hurt him?
He still never kill her...
Throughout all his hardship to fight in war to claim back his country and to collect back the four sacred symbols -
A lady who follow him whatever decision he made, Make him smile, Care for him and
willing to sacrifice everythings even her life to protect him...Love Him in secret.... Her name is Sujini. Damdeok know it..
But he does not accept her till the day she left him- the reason was also to protect him, as the legend mean that she maybe the
black phoenix who hurt Jooshin King. Damdeok keep on finding her ... after 8 years of separation.. finally they met...
He saw Sujini with a child...
A girl who born in the Hae Family of Baekje; her family was all killed by Hwacheon clan and her sister, Kiha was caught by them
as they think that she was the reincarnation of Kajin, the fire priestess. Sujini did not know that Kajin was a elder sister neither Kajin remember that
she has a family and her baby sister, because her memories was seal away by the elder of Hwacheon Clan. That cause both of them not able
to acquainted with each other instead they become enemy. At the same time, they both fall in love with the same guy, Damdeok.
Due to their past, KiHa and Sujini have the same Fire power of the pheonix.
Sujini was brought up by the Hyun Go of Guh Mool. Hyun Go
was her master that teachs her everythings and very protective for her. Sujini is a simple girl who like to drink different type of wines; she can drink alot
without drank, gamble and where have free food and drink you can find her... ^_^ She like to help poor and bully rich people; that makes
her character. She know Damdeok by concidence- when she want to catch bad guy who wan to poison the horse; good guy treat her as bad guy, chasing
her around to punish her. She was saved by Damdeok- this is the first time they know each other. A guy that she deeply fall in love with from the
beginning...
The most kindness lady in the world; able to throw away her jeolousy, hate and her love to
she bring up her sister and King's child with care and protect him from danger- while escaping from Hwacheon Clan
and at the same hiding from King. Sujini was afraid that the thing will follow back the same old disastrous, she don wan to
hurt the King that why she choose to hide.
Hwacheon Clan killed her family and captured her when she was five years old as they believed that Kiha was the reincarnation of Kajin, the fire priestess.
They sealed away her memories, and bring her up to fufill Hwacheon's ambitious to rule the world. With the guradian of pheonix on hand
they are half the victory. From young, Kiha was sent to temple of Great Koguryo as a spies on her age of 11 - her motive is to become the priestess, to
get the power to control the country. During her stay in Great Koguryo, she become friend to Damdeok as she saved the King Uhjiji
(Damdeok's father). Damdeok was very grateful and he hope that Kiha will be with him forever.
With her around, he feel safe and peaceful. Damdeok was the only man that she fall in love with.
A man who fall in love with Kiha since young was Yon Hogae. Hogae care for her and wanted to become her friend,
but Kiha only care about the prince. Due to her bounded fate, she had been force to choose Yon Hogae as the Jooshin King; and
vowed to loyal to him as she was the guradian of phoenix- She betray the prince's love. She was accused that she killed King Uhjiji,
Damdeok do not believe her and do not want to listen to her explanation. When she happen to know she is pregnant, she become even
hard-hearted; she want to control the world as a gift to her child. There is a man who protect her since young.. follow her..take care
of her- he is Sa Ryang. But in order to protect Kiha's baby, he sacrifice his life. He still concern about Kiha on the verge of death.
After 8 years of separation, she met her son. At the sametime, Hwacheon Clan elder force her
to dig her own son's heart out to open up the seal which lead to her insane... the history repeat again. Kiha lost control of the
phoenix.. The black phoenix is once again release.. But it is soon stop by Damdoek.
This scene took place @ Damdeok finally found Sujini after 8 years... The scene is so sweet and lovely.
I remember what Damdeok said to Sujini: "I will not let you go again! "
"Do as you wish, If you won't come with me then I'll go with you. As long as I'm by your side"
"My palace is wherever you are."
"Don't be like this, even if you are black pheonix, you must still stay by my side. I can be your shield. So Please.. don't go anywhere." Sujini cry... Finally she agree to stay.
This Scene took place in the house - where Damdeok get to know the little boy (his own son).
Little boy called Ajik. Damdoek ask him why he named Ajik
It is because I cant be named yet.
Damdoek asked about this child, Sujini only reply that he was her sister's son.. but she did not tell Damdoek the truth.
It was so touching.. Damdoek help Ajiki clean his face, and ask him:" Does your aunt still like to drink?"
Ajiki:"No, my aunt don know how to drink, not even a single drop!"
Damdeok turn to look at Sujini, said:"you stop drinking because you're worried that if you got drunk and fell asleep,
you'll be found by me? "
This scene took place- when Ajik was caught by Hwacheon Clan
Everything that need to hide was reveal... Ajiki was caught because he is Jooshin King's son. Damdoek know everything..
Sujini protect his son herself - hiding from Hwacheon Clan, She take care of Ajiki cause he is her sister's son.
She was so great even Damdoek- what should I do? What should.. I say to you? - He need to start the war in oder to save his son.
